About Tomatopapa

Most clothing brands design a garment and then go looking for someone to make it. We started from the other end.

Tomatopapa is a men's underwear and essentials label built on top of a factory we own and run ourselves, in Asia. Every brief, boxer, vest and short we sell is made on our own machines - not placed with a subcontractor, not ordered from a catalogue, not drop-shipped.

That is an unglamorous thing to lead with. It is also the whole reason the brand exists, and it is why we can do things a label of our size normally cannot: hold quality steady, change a detail because it was not right, and produce a short run when a short run is what the situation calls for.

The clothes

Asian-influenced design, cut for comfort, with a bit more personality than the category usually allows. Underwear is where we are strongest - briefs, boxers, trunks, thongs and jockstraps - alongside vests, tees, shorts and light outerwear that work with them.

Our sizing follows Asian proportions more closely than European. Please read the size guide before ordering; most customers take one size up from their usual European size.

Work with us

Owning the factory means we can do more than sell our own label.

Manufacturing - we produce for other brands, including small runs that most factories refuse. Underwear, swim, loungewear and knitwear are our core competence. You deal with the factory owner directly, not an agent.
